The 4-year-old by Harbor the Gold would become the first Oregon-bred to win this race…Washington Racing Hall of Fame trainer Jim Penney has three Distaff entries including last year’s Top 3-Year-Old Filly Class Included. A Distaff victory would clinch Top Older Filly or Mare honors. An E Z Kitty victory, however, could muddle the voting, as that would give both horses two stakes wins this season…Penney’s other runners Sweet Nellie Brown and Private Fortune make their second attempts to win the Distaff.
