AUBURN, WA. Every dollar donated to the Auburn Food Bank is being matched by Coastal Farm and Ranch and Emerald Downs now through December 21 with a goal of raising enough to feed 1,600 people.

“Our store in Auburn is fortunate to be part of a such a terrific community,” according to Coastal Farm & Ranch owner Buzz Wheeler. “This is our opportunity to give back and support the less fortunate families and hard working people in need of a good meal.”

Emerald Downs and Coastal have teamed-up to match every dollar donated up to a $1,000, meaning the Auburn Food Bank will receive $2,000.

“Auburn is a great place to live and work,” says Sophia Mangalee, Marketing Director for Emerald Downs. “We’re excited to work with our friends from Coastal to help the needy in Auburn.”

“We appreciate the support of Coastal Farm and Ranch and Emerald Downs,” says Auburn Food Bank’s Debbie Christian. “This is the time of year we have the most need and this donation will make a big difference.”

The Auburn Food Bank is able to purchase food at a substantial discount. $2,000 will purchase approximately 4,000 pounds of food to feed hungry people in the Auburn area.

The matching program ends on December 21.
