BOEING HANDICAP
17TH RUNNING, JULY 8, 2012
ONE MILE IN 1:34.48 :22.68, :44.64, 1:08.61, 1:21.23
JOCKEY JUAN GUTIERREZ, CLASS INCLUDED, WINNER: “I expected three horses to go to the lead, and I could just sit behind them. My filly was really relaxed. I felt comfortable on her the whole way. I was smooching at her a little on the turn to see what she had left. I could tell she had a lot of horse. She went by the leaders very easily. She’s a classy filly. She doesn’t play around.”
JOCKEY WILLIAM ANTONGEORGI, SWEET NELLIE BROWN, SECOND: “I’ve always liked this horse. We got along really well two races back, so I fought hard to get back on her today. I just tried to save ground and get her to relax. She’s one of the better horses in this race. She just might not be better than Class Included. I was really happy with the way she ran. At the quarter-pole, I thought we might win if Class Included faltered. That didn’t happen.”
